RUGBY UNION. The following team will represent the Petono Wednesday Club against tho Drapers at tho Athletic Park No. 2 ground : —Woods (2), Bernstein, Cargill, Parrant, Dawson, List, Price, Allcnder, Chesterman, Riddler, Packard, Greenough, Woodham, Merrick; emergencies, Lylo, J. Bernstein. ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held at Mr Gibbs’s office last night. Present—Messrs Fordham, Fraser, Hamilton, Spittal, B. L. Salmon. The fourth-class protest held over from last meeting, Rovers v. Albions, was dismissed, proof having been given that the Albion players had boon registered with tho Fourth-class Association. In regard to the Fourth-class protest, Pearls v. Albions, on tho ground that Albions had played J. Fitzgerald, who, being over ago, is ineligible to play Fourth-class, proof of ago was produced, and it was resolved that the protest bo upheld and tho match awarded to the Pearls. The protest by Newtown Gymnasium against the referee’s decision in the match Newtown Gymnasium v. Albions, as to the infringement of tho penalty kick rule, the matter was considered, and the match was ordered to bo replayed on the earliest available date. A letter was read from the Referees’ Association in regard to language hoard at an Association match. It was resolved that Messrs Fordham and Salmon be appointed a committee to investigate the matter and report. A special general meeting ol the Association was afterwards no.a, . which tho rules were amended so as to ad mit a representative from the Wcdnosda; Football Association. A meeting of tho Junior Football As sociation was held last evening. Present —Messrs H. Moyer (in the chair) Zohrab, Collins, Martin, McKeowen. Mr G.'Adams was elected delegate to the Senior Association, vice Mr H. Withers. Messrs Withers, Collins and Meyer.were elected a Selection Committee for the representative team to tour the Wanganui district. A five-a-side tournament is to be held at the Newtown Park immediately after the Cup matches, entries to close on the 15th July. Messrs McKeowen, Meyer and Zohrab were elected a Management Committee in connection with the tournament.
The following referees have been appointed for the Association matches next Saturday ; —Senior.—Rovers v. Swifts, at Newtown Park, Mr Roberts; Petone v. Diamond, at Petono, Mr H. G. Mayer. Junior—Wadestown v. Rovers, at Miramar, Mr Lawrence; Queen’s Park v. Swifts, at Miramar, Mr White. Thirdclass—Swifts A v Swifts Jl, at Miramar, Dir Fordham; Red Cross v. Rovers, at Karori, Mr Munckton ; Pearls v. Queen’s Park, at Karori, Mr Wolfe; Petono v. Institute, at Petono, Mr i±. >.-Liams.
