Mr A. W. Palmer, who has been in charge of. the New Zealand head office for Yitadatio in this city, ,yvill return to Melbourne on Wednesday to superintend the business there. Professor C. de C. Williams, Ph D., has been appointed to succeed him. Persons interested in the Two-gar-ment Society are requested to . view, the garments at Government House tomorrow. Mr James Godber, of Melbourne House, Cuba street, has opened a large consignment of table decorations, .suitable for the ball season. A large area of land in a central part of To Are is to let. A. leading wholesale warehouse requires the services of a manager for its clothing and mercoiw departments. Intending investors ir* the Waikawa Queen Gold* Dredging Company are requested to send in their applications for shares at once. Messrs A. G. Taino and Co. will sell stock at tho Lower Hutt on Thursday. Messrs Townsend and Paul will sell a largo variety of flower, fruit arrl hedging plants on Thursday. Messrs Hornblow and Co. will sell furniture and effects on Thursday. Messrs -vAVay and McGregor, architects, invite tenders for the erection of a residence in Hobson street. A sale of leasehold property, sawmill plant and waggon and dray will bo conducted by Mr Charles Carr at Feilding on Thursday.
