RESULT OF A ROBBERY.
Perth, January 20. In the first week in December a daring robbery took place at the Postal Department. Tho i Paymastor-Gouprul of tho Post Office drew £IOOO to pay tho officers’ salaries for the month. Of this he paid away some £6O. Ho then locked tho balance in a room, and, went to luncheon. On his return tho money was phasing. It lias never been ascertained how the robbery was carried out. The Executive Council has now called upon Mr G. P. Stevens, Manager of tho Telegraph Department, to make good the missing amount of £940, ■
