In the Legislative Assembly the schedule of tho new Customs Duties Bill, which embodies tho tariff, passed through Committee without amendment. , , Tho Probate Duties Bdl also went through Committee. The Premier said it bad been amended by making the schedule similar to the Victorian schedule in regard to the graduation of amounts and tho reduction of tho succession duties from 1 to 0 instead of Ito 10 por cent, for relatives. In tho amended form it is expected to yield £70,000 annually.
