SECOND TRIAL OF M. ZOLA. til/ Telegraph.—Press Association, — Copyright, Pakis, May 24. The second trial of M. Zola, in connection with his denunciation of the Army officials which was published as a means towards securing tho release of M. Dreyfus, has commenced at Versailles. Maitro Labori, counsel for M. Zola, objected to tho change of venue from Paris, and protested that a Paris jury was The Procureur-General asked for the rejection of what he characterised as a frivolous plea. He said the law would reach M. Zola despite any subterfuges which might be resorted to. The Court dismissed M. Labori’s objection. M. Labori has consequently appealed to the Court of Cassation, and the proceedings have ended pending the result of the appeal.
