FRANCE'S REASSURING STATEMENTS DOUBTED. By Telegr i ph.—Press Association.— Copyright, London, May 24. Lord Salisbury, Prime Minister, has declined to discuss the Niger question whilst the deliberations of the Commission for the delimitation of the British and French territory is in progress. The Standard denies a statement that the report of tho Commission has been signed, and expresses doubt respecting the reassuring statements published ,by the Pans newspapers.
