GOLF.
The motnbers of the Wellington Golf Club played a handicap match at Miramar yesterday for prizes kindly presented by Mr M. Chapman, captain of the club. The weather was very unfavourable, a strong northerly gale preventing anything like good scores being handed in. Mr O. S. Watkins won with a net score of 108, and Messrs h. Tripp and Or. Todd tied for second place with scores of 109, The chief scores were as follow : Gross. Handicap. Net. O. S. Watkins ... 123 15 108 h. Tripp ... ... 120 H 109 G. Todd ... ... 11l 3 169 W. Higginson ... 125 14 111 J. Webster ... 121 9 113 E. W. Kirkby ... 133 14 118 The other scores were 120 and over.
