THE DREYFUS CASE.
By Telegraph.—Frees Association.—Copyright. Paris, January 11. The Dreyfus case continues to excite much public interest ,in the city. An official enquiry -is being held into the charges preferred by. M. Mathieu Dreyfus, brother of Captain Dreyfus, against Count Esterhazy, the Commandant of Artillery, who was declared by M. Mathieu Dreyfus to have been the author of the document on which his brother was condemned.
The chief accusation* against Count Esterhazy is based upon ms having written the bordereau, or memorandum, upon which Captain Dreyfus was convicted. Tho spectators in Court made s demonstration of sympathy with Count Esterhazy, and hissed and execrated M. Mathieu Dreyfus. * Sensational scenes • occurred during the progress of the enquiry. Received January 13, 12.45 a.m. Paris, January 11.
Tho enquiry which has been held into the Dreyfus case resulted in Count Esterhazy being unanimously acquitted of having treacherous relations with a foreign power. The Count received an ovation when he appeared in the streets. It is reported here that Captain Dreyfus was an agent of Russia.
