PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

By Telegraph. —Press Association Dunedin, January 11. At the Primitive Wesleyan Conference the Missionary Committee’s report was further considered, when it was decided that the work in Westport must be continued as in the past. The fire insurance report was received, and showed that the gross amount coveted was 413,530. At the present time there was a gain of 4402 and the fund was in a very flourishing state. The Sunday-school report showed a large increase of juvenile and adult abstainers. There are 65 schools, 519 teachers and 4798 scholars. There are 29 Bands of Hope with 4270 members. The income for the year had been close on 41000. The home missionaries’ report showed an income of 4236 14» for the year, an increase of 49.
