Arrived—M.A. Doran, from New Zealand. The Stormblrd arrived from Wanganui at 11.30 yesterday morning with 300 bales wool, 3000 ft of timber, 100 sacks wheat and a quantity of furniture. The Fanny's wool from the East Coast consisted of 180 bales. She left lor Cape Turnagain at 4,10 p.m. on Saturday for a load of wool for Wellington. The Mahlnapua left for Nelson, New Plymouth and Onehunga at 7 o'clock last night. She is due here again next Saturday morning. The Brunner, detained by strong head winds, arrived from South at 8 o’clock last night. The Mahinapua arrived from Onehunga and Now Plymouth early on Saturday afternoon. Her dairy produce consisted of 6003 boxes, and 182 kegs of butter and 306 crates of cheese. The schooner Marmlon is loading timber at Mercury Bay lor Dunedin. The barque Lake Erie, which loft hero recently for Auckland, will, on her discharge at that port, proceed to Gisborne to load wool for London. The Rakaaoa will call at Singapore to coal. She left Calcutta with a full cargo. The barque Hippolas left the Thames last Wednesday for Melbourne with a load of white pine timber. The barque Maria, at present in Lyttelton, has been purchased by Mr T. Carlaw and others, of Auckland. The Maria, which is a Spanish vessel, has lately been sailing under the German flag. She is 3*9 tons register, aud will be employed in tbo Intercolonial trade. • From Lyttelton she goes to the Kaipara to load timber for an Australian port. V ■ ■ The ship Katy and tbs barque Weathcrsfletd left the, stream for Loudon on Saturday with full cargoes of wool, flax, &c. The Te Anau yesterday morning and the Roto- * ■ mtibana during the afternoon arrived from the < South. Both vessels experienced a strong head wind on the tripup, On Friday last, at Napier, when the rigging of the barque Lutterworth was being overhauled preparatory to making a start for London, the iron bowsprit was found to be damaged and to need extensive remirs, which may detain her at that port for another week, BARQUE SAMAR, FROM NEW YORK. The barque Samar, which loft New York for Wellington on September 13tb, was signalled from Mount Victoria late on Saturday afternoon, and dropped anchor in the stream at 10 p.m. Owing to the heavy gale prevailing yesterday no communication could be had with the vessel. She will in all probability be berthed this morning, OTARAMA, FROM LONDON. Tbo Otarama, one of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s fleet of cargo steamers, arrived from London via Plymouth, Tencriife, Capetown and Hobart ou Saturday xunrning. and after being inspected by the Health Officer, was berthed shortly after noon at the Queen’s Wharf under the care of Captain Johnson. Mr Forbes, second officer, kindly supolied us with the following report of the voyage:—The Otarama left Royal Albert Docks on l*2th November, and Plymouth at II a.m. on the 14th for Teneriffe. which was reached ou the 26th: crossed tbo Equator on the 2Sth, and passed Table Mountain (Cape Colony) on 10th December. On Christmas Eve, when crossing the Southern Ocean, a strong S.W. gale, with a tremendously high and dangerous sea, was met with, the vessel shipping water fore and aft. On the Sunday the wind shifted to the northward, but continued to blow a fresh gale untl 1 arrival at Hobart, accompanied with rough, confused beam sea and incessant rain throughout. The Otarama arrived at Hobart at 10.10 p.m. on Ist January, and left for Wellu gton at 6 45 a.rn. on Monday, after discharging 200 tons cargo and shipping 150 tons. Cape Farewell was passed at. 7.50 p.m. ou Friday, the steamer arriving as above. THE CAKADIAN-AUSTRALIAN LINE. The Warrimoo, from Sydney, was berthed at the Queen’s Wharf on Saturday morning. She left Port Jackson at 4.80 p.m. on Monday last, and experienced light easterly and variable winds on the trip across the Tasman Sea. The pascongers for New Zealand arrived by this steamer. —Misses Smith, Chapman, Bennie, Mesdames Bennie, Chapman, Whltton, Messrs Joy.Peokbam, Tyser, Chapman (2), Duggan, Bennie, Eyre Kenny, Master Bennie. After shipping 750 carcases of mutton for Vancouver, 150 boxes but-er and 120 sacks manure for Honolulu and 50 sacks flour for Suva, tho liner left for those ports. Her outward list of passengers from Wellington is as follows : Saloon—Misses Bother (2), Mesdames McDonald, Watte, Soaddon, Messrs Gill, Stewart, McDonald, Crnickshaok, Avent, Watts, Soaddon (6), Bother, Asoemann, Master Watts; steerage Messrs Smith, McLeod, Wilson, MoWUUam, McLennan, D Mr S 'Bellmalne, the popular parser of the War- ' rlmoo, was seized with Illness on the trip across, and stayed behind here to recruit. His duties will he taken up by the chief steward, Mr Bolton. Mr Fred Prince, son otMr W. Prinoo, wharfinger, proceeded by the Warrimoo to assist Mr Bolton. Tho Aorangi, for Sydney, left shortly alter 11 o'clock on Saturday night. Her frnit from S“va was landed in first-class condition.
