GOLDMINING AT AUCKLAND.
By Telegraph,—Press Association. Auckland, January 8. The Waihi Consols Goldmining Company directors have been approached with the object of granting a working option over the Company’s property at Waihi. The offer was made on behalf of English capitalists, the remuneration to the shareholders in the event of the development of the work proving satisfactory, and a new company being floated, being on a share basis. The directors met and considered the matter, but the terms were not deemed satisfactory, the number of shares offered being too small, and the offer was therefore declined. Work on the property [is to be pushed ahead as rapidly as possible.
