The Viceroy of India has reported to the Imperial Government that the Orakzaia and Afridis in Bara Valley -rill oppose the British expedition to Tirau Pass. Brigadier-General Biggs' division has succeeded in dislodging the enemy from a post dominating Chagra Valley. Amidst heavy firing the infantry climbed the hillside, being supported by a mountain battery. The losses on the British side were slight. The Mazozaia tribesmen, replying to Lieutenant-General Sir Wm. Lockhart, stated that their conditions of peace included the British evacuation of Samana Eidge and Khy her Pass.
