AUSTRALIAN FEDERATION.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright, Boooived October 19, 12 95 a.m. Sydney, October 18. Sir Hugh Nelson, Premier of Queensland, on his way through to Brisbane after his trip Home, told an interviewer that his colony would very likely be divided into three electorates to return delegates to the Federal Convention. The Senate, he said, must bo a real live branch of tho Legislature. The first Bill in 1891 provided for a fairly good Senate, but tho later convention weakened it. Ho does not believe in getting rid of the financial question by referring it to the Federal Parliament, and he also thinks that tho question whero the capital should bo ought to bo determined by the Convention.
