A letter was read from the Now South Wales Union stating that it intended to invite an English team to play a series of matches in its colony, and, if arrangements oculd he made, in the other colonies. Nothing had yet been definitely decided, but there was every reason to bolieve that tho team would almost assuredly visit New South Wales, and tho Now South Wales Union wished to know whether it was desired to visit New Zealand. The New South Wales Union asked New Zealand to submit an offer Ihe team would consist of 21 members. Tho New South Wales Union wished to know whether the Now Zealand Union would take the team, paying all expenses from and back to Sydney, and give the New South Wales Union a stated sum as a bonus, or allow.a certain percentage of the takings at tho gates Tho committee decided “ l hat a reply be sent to the New South Wales Union that this Union would require more information than has been at present afforded, to enable it to oome to a conclusion; but that in any ease no bonus or percentage of the gates be offered, lhat the utmost that can bo done would be to pay the travelling expenses of tho visiting team from and back to Sydney, and tho internal expenses while in New Zealand. That on receipt of other particulars from the Now South Wales Union the various affiliated Unions will be consulted.”

A letter was road from the Wellington Union stating that it intended to hold an enquiry, into the charges of rough play in the Wellington-Otago match. The Wellington Union challenged the right of the New Zealand Union to request that an enquiry should be hold when the Wellington Union had not declined to make investigations. It was decided to reply that tho three members of the New Zealand team had been disqualified for misconduct, and. that the Manawatu player was disqualified at the request of the Manawatu Union. It was also decided to. point out to ihe Canterbury Union that the request for endorsement should not have been made, and that the resolution passed by tho committee was that the Unions should merely be notified of the disqualifications. The VVairarapa and Wanganui Unions wrote stating that they were satisfied with the present administration of tho New Zealand Union, and that they could see no reason why its hindquarters should be removed from.
