ML's Richards, who is leaving the Parkvale School, where she has been teaching for a number of years, has been presented with a purse of sovereigns and a framed testimonial from the school children and their parents. A gloom has been oast over the Makara district by the death of Mias Annie Robinson. Miss Robinson was organist for many years at St. Matthias* Church and superintendent of the Sunday School. The funeral yesterday was attended by a great number of people, including all the Sundaysohool scholars, in fact it was the largest ever seen in the district. A great number of wreaths wore sent from all parts.
