The Turkish squadron capt ured 11 Greek vessels and brought thorn into the Dardanelles. , r . , Athens, May 11. It is reported that the Gr-eex forces have captured the ruins of Nikopolis, four miles north of Previsa, and that they are now attacking the latter town by land and sea. According to a letter received' by a "Wellington resident from a relative who was just about to start for the front there were about 167,000 Greeks under arms. They consisted of 30,000 prisoners who had boon liberated at the outbreak of hostilities, 40,000 volunteers, 90.000 soldiers, 3000 Englishmen. 500 Italians, and a number of Frenchmen. That English people were in sympathy with the Greeks was shown by the fact that 400,000 biscuits, 7000 horses and 10.000 rifles had been forwarded to the Greeks, but, the writer said, no one knew from whom they had come. A donation of 100.000 francs had also boon received from Spain. The writer was the last of a patriotic family of thirteen who had shouldered a gun in defence of their country. ______________
