TERRIBLE DEATH OP A PARACHUTIST. - London, August 6. ■ ■ Adelaide Bassett/parachutist, met with a terrible death at a fete in Peterborough to-day. - ■ " " ■ She was giving a performance in the presence of thousands of people, and' in the ascent the parachute was injured by contact with the telegraph wires.
