THE THURSO ASHORE AT GREY- , MOUTH ONE OP THE CREW INJURED.

Eventually she drifted on the north* tiphoad, where she now lies. ■ i * * There is very Uttle hope of getting her off. A number of holes have been knocked in the bottom Of the barque, and she is full of water.

The. first mate was injured by timber when the tow-rope* parted, and* has been taken to the hospital. Cheistchuboii, August 7•The Thurso is . the property of.the Now. Zealand Insurance Company, in which office she is insured for .£2500. Of this sum ■ £IOOO is re-insured in the Alliance office, and a further sum,of £250 in another office.

The cargo of'timber, the property of Scott and Co.,vis insured in * the- Canton office for £I4OO.

The Thurso, which was previously named the Lucina, was built at Sunderland in 180*1.
