NEW ZEALAND MAIL.
This week’s. isauo of tho New Zealand Mail, published to-day. contains tho opening chapters of an entirely now aerial story by Mr W. Clark Bussell, and entitled “ Transported, tho Romance of a Convict Ship.” Mr Clark Bussell is well known to novel readers an ono of tho foremost writers of fiction of tho day, and it is interesting to learn that ho has recently expressed tho opinion, in tho course of an interview published in a London paper, that tiro romance now commencing publication in tho Mail is his most original and best effort in fiction. Tho Parmer Pages, of tho Mail contain a number of articles specially suited to tho requirements of country readers, and there aro a large number of general articles, all well worthy of perusal. Xu every department this week’s issue of tho Mi. IL contains much that is fresh and interesting, and it would bo difficult to find a weekly paper more admirably adapted for household reading.
