By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright, Received May 24, 0.50 a.m. Sidney, May 23,
The censure debate dragged wearily and spiritlessly throughout the day and tonight, and at 11.30 to-night there were no signs of a division. Tho Premier is determined to see tho debate through before tho House rises. Besides the amendment proposed by Sir Henry Parkes, Mr Schoy has moved to refer tho fiscal issue to a referendum.
Mr T. T, Ewing, member for Lismoro, has also moved* an amendment condemning the policy of tho Government, as it would make Kanaka labour inevitable.
