Sib,—lf it is not too late in the day, I would suggest something by which I believe the hon. secretary of the Yacht Club could keep tho general public on the wharf posted “-as to the relative positions ■Of the-’yaohts .in the first and second-class races. Ifl am hot mistaken the telephone is laid on to the wharf, Soames’ Island and the Pilot Station, and no doubt there are kind gentlemen in charge of them. My idea is that the secretary, if he could spare the time, ring up tho aforesaid men, find out the positions of the yachts as they pass their stations, and so keep the public interested by posting the information in a conspicuous -place on tho wharf.—l am, &0., January 21.
