About Carnage 1100 to 110 was taken, and SOO to 27 Trenchant. Budgereo is being nibbled at at 100 to 7. Received Oct. 27, 9.20 p.m. Melbourne, October 27. Gingham, Towri, Blazes, Bel Gioruo, and Wolf have been scratched for tho Melbourne Cup. Tho Sailor Prince is favourite for tho Derby at 100 to 16, Carnage and Trenchant being next in estimation at 100 to 12. Wagers of 200 to 26 have been taken about Patron, 350 to 40 about Carnage, 300 to 27 about Aquarius, and 600 to 48 about Budgcroe. Loyalty is favourite for the Melbourne Cup at 100 to 9. Wagers of 500 to 375 have been taken about Tim Swivcllor. Mr S. H. Gollan’s two-year-old filly, by Nordenfeldt—Florence McCarthy, and colt, by St.Georgo—Pair Noll,arrived by the Waihora yesterday, and were landed without a scratch. AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
