(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Carterton, May 15. Very many of your readers have visited the agricultural show ot Carterton. The grounds are close to the railway station. The Wairarapa Trotting Club is going to hold itainaugural meeting there on June let, A gang of men is busily engaged laying olf the course. There is a grandstand capable of seating COO people, from which the whole of the races can be seen, aa it commands the entire ground. It is likely to bo an interesting gathering, the entries numbering 100, many of them being Wellington horses. A totalisator will be on the ground. The morning train reaches Carterton at 11.10 a.m., and no doubt the afternoon train will be delayed for an hour or so to allow of visitors from town staying out the full meeting and returning the same day. It la a half holiday throughout the Wnirarnpa on that day.

Tinker and Deception should not have been included in the acceptances for the Selling Bace at the Wellington Trotting Club. Too late again. The acceptances of Mi Fraser'e three horses, Dot, Captain and Prince 11., for the Wellington Trotting Club’s Pony, Maiden and Electric Handicaps respectively, arrived yesterday afternoon, of course,too late to be received. „ ~ ~ , „ , Acceptances for the Otaki Maori Baring Club’s Queen’s Birthday Meeting close this evening at Otaki with the secretary, Mr H.
