Mr Balfour addressed a meeting of 5000 Unionists in the Leinster Hall, Dublin, and was received with immense enthusiasm.
Reinforcements of police are to be sent to Belfast.
Mr Balfour, speaking at Dublin, said Ulster, as a last resort, could fight the South, which would ho helpless (Received Apiil 11, 1 15 a.in.) London, April 10.
Eight thousand stand of. anus have been landed in Ulster, whore forty four corps are now drilling in secret. Stones were thrown at Mr Balfour as ho was returning from Lord Iveagh’s and hit some of the occupants of his carriage.
