LES CLOCHES DE CORNEVILLE.
The Zaolandia Juvenile Comic Opera Company ivili open their season this evening in the Theatre Boyal, with Plaaquette’s brilliant comedy opera, 1 Lea Cloches de Corneville, or the Chimes of Normanby,’ No trouble bar been spared to make the production a success, and the fact that the performers are nearly all juvenile residents of Wellington and district should add extra interest to the performance. The company are to be congratulated on having secured the services of Mr Claude Herman, of Chrlstoburcb, to depict the Miser Gaepard, and of Mrs Fred, Perrin, so favourably known to Wellington concert - goers, who will interpret the mneio pertaining to the rile of ' Germaine.' The youthful ohornv ia strong both in num. beta and power. The dresses and realistic scenery have been prepared expressly for this representation, and the orchestra Is composed cf capable musicians. The whole management of the opera devolves upon Mr James A. Sparks, who has considerable experience in the production of oomio opera, and who deserves great credit for the energy he has shown in working np to-night’s production.
