We have before us the results of a series of chemical analysis to which Messrs James Baohanau and Co,’a “House of Com* mens Whisky” (as supplied to the House of Commons) was subjected by such a renowned scientist ns the public analyst for the City of Glasgow and the Counties of Lanark, Renfrew, and Sutherland, &c., John Clark, Ph. !>., P.1.C., who reports : ** These results indicate that this is a pare whisky, which has been kept for a considerable length of time in a sherry cask, and from the mildness and mellowness of its flavour I am of opinion that it is of very fine quality.” Stephenson Maodam, Ph.T)., etc., etc., lecturer in chemistry and consult* ing analytical chemist, also certifies as follows : 11 These results prove that the whisky has been carefully distilled, thoroughly matured, and is free from fufil oil or other noxious ingredients.
