(BY TELEGRAPH, OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Havelock, June 11. At the R.M. Court yesterday, before Mr J. Allen, E.M., the ease of Lamb v. Grosaie was beard. Biaggio Grossie was charged with committing wilful damage to prosecutor's fishing nets at Mahakipawa to the amount of £5. Tbe case was dismissed. In the case of the Pelorus Road Inspector v. Mary Green, W. Jones, \V. Pickering, E. Pike, W. T. Erskine, Owen MoKoana, and Alfred Reader, the defendants, were deed in amounts varying from la to 5s each, excepting the two last mentioned, who raised the question of t tie, their cattle having been found at large upon a “trespass” road, which had never been conveyed to the Pelorous Road Board, The case was dismissed, the Court having no jurisdiction. Civil cases—Drury v. T. Adsms, claim £ls' ss. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. Morgan v, Dimant, claim for rent of bonse at Deep Creek, £lO 5s sd. Judgment for plaintiff with costs. At the, Pelorus Licensing Committee meeting new accommodation licenses were granted to A. W. Dillon, Waikakaho ; Otto Haase, Kaituna ; and G. W, Corbett, Can. vastown ; a renewal was granted to Mary Green, Gibsontown. A renewal for an accommodation license applied tar by Mr Dillon, for a house at Deep Creek, was ob. jeoted to by tbe police, who reported that tbe house had not been kept np to the required standard, and was out of repair, and the conduct of tbe business had been bad. The licensedwas granted, provided the owners could find anew tenant, and had the house put in repair to the satisfaction of tbe Inspector of Licensed Houses. Renewals were granted to B. W. Daniel, Mahakipawa; E. S. Olliver and F. Maher, Cullensville, Tbe licensees applied for a redaction in tbe license fee on account of alleged depression in trade, but the Inspector of Licensed Premises pointed out that the fee was fixed by statute, and could not be redneed, consequently tbe feea would be £25 as usual.
