Calcutta, May 1. The British troops are pursuing the rebel Senaputty. The bodies of the British officers massacred on the outbreak of the revolt in Manipur have been exhumed and reburied with funeral services. (Received May 3, 6,30 p.m. Calcutta, May 2.
The Manapuris state that the chief Senaputty, after a Durbar, signalled the massacre of tho British. Mr Grimwood, the British resident at Manipur, was stabbed in the back and then beheaded. Mr Quinton, Chief Commissioner ,of Assam, Lieutenant Colonel Skene, and the buglers were beheaded.
