ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
LOST OVERBOARD. (PRR PI’.XBS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, April 23. Tho Haaroto, from Newcastle direct, arrived to day, and reports that on the 20th when in lat 37.45 S, long 155.54 E, Joseph Oakley, A. 8., fell overboard while washing the davits ofj the port lifeboat. A lifebuoy was thrown from the poop, the engines stopped and reversed, and a boat lowered. The boat picked up the lifebuoy, hut no trace waa found of the unfortunate man, and after nearly an hour had been spent in the search the steamer resumed her voyago.
