THE RUMOURED AMALGAMATION OF STEAM COMPANIES.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Dunedin, April 20. Mr James Mills, General Manager of the Union S.S. Co,, says there ia no foundation for the rumoured amalgamation. The report poseibiy originated in the fact that there is a likelihood of come arrangement being arrived at to terminate the out-throat competition carried on along the Australian coast.
