Bengal, it is said, has 43,644 widows under ten years of age. The new law regulating the work of minors in Russian factories is not so stringent as the old law was. According to the latter, children below the age of twelve years were not allowed to work at all, but the new law allows children of ten and twelve years old to be employed in factories.
