Molnerney, tho lessee, is uninsured, and estimates bis loss on the furniture at £3OO. The damages to the building are estimated at £250.. The building, together with three ships under the same rOof, are Insured for £2500 in the National, but reinsured in the New Zealand, North German and two other offices for £SOO. O’Connor :—“By his tact and ability, of which we have . had some experience in this district, he has gained golden opinions from all softs of people further, “The public of Westpart may reasonably expect an accession of energy in the prosecution of the harbour works to follow Mr O'Connor’s assumption of the charge. He will have the advantage of greater freedom in carrying on the work than has hitherto been accorded those in; authority, and if true to his reputation he will not be satisfied with a purely * governmeat stroke.’ ”
