NORTH CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

The North Canterbury Agricultural Show was held at Rangiora to-day. The entries numbered 728 against 983 last year. The principal features of the show were the excellent display of sheep and horses. In fine combing merinos, most of the prizes were taken by the Warren estate and by Mallock and Lance. In strong combing Merinos Wharton and Cowan were the largest prize takers, and Mallock and Lance gained a special prize for the largest prize winners. In the Merino classes generally, P. C. Threkeld, Henderson, and Moßeath, M. Maofarlane were among the chief prize winners. In other sheep, Threlkeld and W. Booon were the principal prize winners. For cattle, M, Macfarlane.
