Co’s ss Koranui left Greymouth at 3 pm on the 12th, and arrived at Nelson at 1.30 pra on the 13th, sailed again at 230 pm the same day, and arrived here 10 am yesterday. She experienced fair winds and fine weather from Greymouth to Nelson, and head wind and sea thence to arrival. She leaves fo t Dunedin this evening. The U.S.S. Co’sss Mahinapua, from Westport and Nelson, arrived here early yesterday morning, and left at 10.30 am for the South. She experienced head winds and rough weather from Nelson. The U.S.S. Go’s ss Wanaka left Manukau at 2.30 pm on the 12th August, and arrived at New Plymouth at 11.30 pm on the 13th, left again at 2 pm on the 13th, and arrived here at 1.30 pm yesterday. She experienced strong south-easterly gales with very heavy head seas and rainy weather throughout. The Wanaka returns to-morrow. ■ > The U.S.S. Co’s ss Mawhera left Dunedin on the 9th inst, and arrived at Lyttelton, via way ports on the 12th. She left Lyttelton at 3.30 pm on the 12th, and arrived here at 7.30 am on Saturday, having experienced a heavy southerly gale. The Mawhera sailed yesterday morning for Nelson and West Coast. The U.S.S. Co’s ss Rotorua left Nelson at 2 pm on the 12th, and arrived here, via Picton, at 10 am on Saturday. She experienced strong southerly gale, accompanied by squalls ot hail and heavy rains. She sailed for North on Saturday evening. , The U.S.S. Co’s ss Penguin left Lyttelton at 9.20 pm on the 12th, and arrived here at 11.45 am yesterday, having experienced a heavy SE gale with heavy hail squalls and high’ seas. The Penguin leaves for Picton and Nelson to-day. The U.S.S. Co’s ss Mararoaleft Sydney on the 4th inst at 5 pm, passed the North Cape on the Bth at noon, and arrived in Auckland on the 9th, at 3 am. Shas left again on the 11th at noon, and arrived at Gisborne on the 12th at 1 pm; left 5 hours later, and called at Napier on the 13th, and arrived at Wellington at 4.15 pm yesterday. She experienced fine weather from Sydney to Auckland, from thence strong SW winds with heavy sea to arrival. The Mararoa leaves for Melbourne, via South, this afternoon.
