MR BURNETT ON THE WEST COAST.
(UJTITSD PBBS ASSOCIATION.) Bebtton, May 9. Mr Burnett, the temperance lecturer, concluded a highly successful tour of the district at the Lyell, on Friday evening last, and left on the following morning for Westport. His campaign on the West Coast has been a pro* nouaced success,' as the following figures, giving the pledges administered by him, will show s—Hokitika district, 1031 ; Grey district, 1020 ; Grey Valley, 70 ; Reefton, 254; Blacks Point, 54; Boatmans, 55 ; and Ly*dl, 39 ; making a grand total of 262 \ while 2727 were invested with the blue ribbon. A Good Templars' lodge was established here last night, with a strong roll of members.
