The team to. play against the Sydney footballers have been finally selected as follows :—■ Webster (back), By an and Wood (threequarter backs), Whiteside, Sims, and Warbrick (half-backs), Arneil, Carter, Clayton, Croxton, Bindon, Henderson, Biggs, Mackay, and O’Connor (forwards). The team is not so strong as the last. John Patrick Casey was charged with stealing a horse, saddle, and bridle, at Arrowtown. There waa a presumption that be bad committed the. >e' as a drunken freak, and the jury found hia not guilty, John Madden,. John Mason, asu James Henry were charged with stealing £2O from Alexander Leckie at the Hunt Cl races. The jury found the three guilty, bu recommended Mason to the leniency of the Court. Sentence was deferred. The Papakaio murder case will be heard ,on Tuesday. No true bill waa found in the case of Thomas McGill, charged with arson in the Arcade. There are thirty-seven witnesses in the murder case.
