Tae weather on the Alps, from St. Gothard through the Tyrol, has been lately of most unusual severity, and many dangerous landslips have occurred. The Government has called upon Dr. Barker to resign his appointment on the Victorian Medical Board. Dr. Barker has given a categorical denial to the statement that he attempted to procure an abortion in the case of the late Mrs Stent, and demands a full inquiry into the charge.
