Melbourne, February 15. Messrs Goldsborough and Co.’s review of the past Australian wool season shows that in Melbourne and Geelong 158,000 bales have been sold, an increase of 20 per cent. In Sydney 75,000 bales have been sold, an increase of 50 per cent. The total of 40,000 sold in Adelaide also shows a satisfactory increase on the previous season. Sydney, February 15. The wreck of the steamship Fiona, as it lies at Seal Rocks Point, has been sold at auction for £440. The cargo realised £l3l. Elias Laycock, the oarsman, sails for England by the steamship Liguria on Friday next. It is understood 1 that ho goes for the purpose of assisting Trickett LATEST. — I.3O a.m. INTERCOLONIAL CRICKET MATCH. RESULT OF THE GAME. Sydney, February 15. ; The Intercolonial Cricket Match was continued to-day. In their second innings the Victorians were all out for 322. Horan scored 102, Blackham 90, and Turner 41. The match was therefore won by New South Wales with an innings and 135 runs to spare. London, February 14. In the House of Commons to-day, a motion introduced by Mr Justin M'Carthy (member for Longford) censuring the Government for its administration of affairs in Ireland, was finally considered and rejected. The debate on the Address in Reply to the speech from the Throne was, after further discussion, concluded, and the address was voted by 87 to 22.
