ABANDONMENT OF A VESSEL.
Christchurch, April 29.
The barque Thurso arrived from the Cape 10-day. She reports that the barque Bells arrived there on March 2. On the voyage she fell in with an iron barque called the India, bound for South Australia with iroa_ and machinery. She was in a sinking condition, baving sprung a leak, and the pumps breaking down. The captain, his wife, and crew, numbering 17, were taken on board the Bells, and the barque abandoned.
