Proclamation of Quarantine Ground for Cattle. (From the General Government Gazette, May 7.) (r,.5.) Jam ns Eergusson, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. TTTIIEREAS by “ The Diseased Cattle VV Act, 187 i,” it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may j.rotn time to time in each port or place within the Colony, by proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, set apart and define quarantine grounds, and from time to time may alter or redefine any such quarantine grounds: And whereas it is expedient that a quarantine ground should be set apart for the Port of Wellington as hereinafter mentioned : Now, therefore I, Sir James Eergusson, Baronet, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the piece or parcel of land hereinafter described shall be and the same is hereby set apart and defined as a Quarantine Ground for the purposes of the said Act, that is to say : Descridtion. All that piece or parcel of ground known as Wallace’s Paddoclc, containing about five acres, be it more or less, being the sections numbered 729, 730,731, 733, and 735, on the plan of the City of Wellington. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 727 and 728, eight hundred (800) links; towards the East by the Adelaide Road, two hundred and ninety (290) links, and by Sections Nos. 732, 734, and 730, eight hundred and seventyfive (875) links; towards the South by Section No. 732, four hundred (400) links, and by Section 737, four hundred (400) links; and towards the West by Tasman-street, eleven hundred and sixtyfive (11(15) links. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Eight Honorable Sir James Eergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and ViceAdmiral of the same ; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Auckland, this twenty-ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. IT is notified for public information that it is proposed to stop up the several roads situated in the township of Eeatherston, in the district of Wairarapa, described in the Schedule hereto. A map of the said roads is deposited in the office of His Honor the Superintendent, and a copy of this map is deposited at the office of the Eeatherston Highway Board. All objections to the stopping up of the said roads must be lodged in the office of His Honor the Superintendent on or before Monday, the seventeenth day of August, 1874. SG, 57, 58, 59, and 00, and towards the South by sections Nos. 390, 392, 393, 394, 395, and 396. All that parcel of land, being a piece of road, bounded towards the East by sections Nos. 284, 288, 292, 296, 300,304, 308, and 312, and towards the West by sections Nos. 263, 287,291,295,299,303, 307, and 311, All that parcel of land, being a piece of road, bounded towards the East by sections Nos. 316, 320, 324, 328, 332, 336, and 340, and towards the West by sections Nos. 315, 319, 823, 327, 331, 335, and 339. All that parcel of land, being a piece of road, bounded towards the East by sections Nos. 2GS, 270, 272, and by part of section 274, to the intersection of the new Te Kopi Road, towards the South by the said new Te Kopi Road, towards the West by part of section No. 259, and towards the North-West and North by public roads. All that parcel of land, bounded towards the East by part of section No. 274, and by sections 276, 278, 280, and 282, towards the South by a lino being the production of the South boundary of section 282, across a public road, towards the West by part of section No. 2G3, and by sections Nos. 262, 201, 260, and part of 259, towards the North-East by the new Te Kopi Road. Proclamation, By His Honor William Eitzhorbcrt, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand. T WILLIAM EITZHERBERT, Super JL j intendent of the Province of WeF lington, in the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue of the powers conferred on mo by “The Impounding Act, 1874,” do hereby proclaim and appoint that the stockyard of the Hon. Dr. Grace, situated at Ohonga, on the East Coast of the Province of Wellington, shall bo a Public Pound for the purposes of “The Impounding Act, 1874.” Warrant. BY virtue of the provisions of the sixth section of “ The Impounding Act, 1874,” I, William Eitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint Charles Rogers to be the Poundkeoper at the Public Pound at Ohonga, on the Bast Coast of the Province of Wellington.
