WHEREAS by the eighty-fifth section of “The Highways Act, 1874,” of the Provincial Council of Wellington, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time by Proclamation in the Government Gazette of the Province, to declare that all roads and bridges, or any portion or portions thereof, which have been or shall hereafter bo constructed or maintained out of moneys heretofore or hereafter appropriated by the Provincial Council of Wellington, shall bo main roads and shall be subject to the provisions of “ The TollGates Act, 1871,” and any Act amending the same or substituted in the place thereof. How, therefore I, William Eitzherbcrt, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby-proclaim and declare that the portion of the Te Ivopi District Road, situated in the Eeatherstou Highway District, in the District of Wairarapa, more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, having been constructed out of moneys appropriated by the Provincial Council of Wellington, shall be and is subject to the provisions of “ The Toll-Gates Act, 1871,” “The Toll-Gates Act Amendment Act, 1872,” and “ The Toll-Gates Act Amendment Act, 1873.” Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. WHEREAS the Toll-Gate mentioned in the Schedule hereto has been erected, and a beeper thereof duly appointed for the collection of tolls under the provisions of “ The Toll-Gates Act, 1871,” and “ An Act to amend the Acts of the Superintendent and Provincial Council Relating to Toll-Gates,” Session XXII, Ho. 8, or under the provisions of one of the said Acts respectively. How, therefore I, William Eitzherbert, by virtue of the powers vested in me under the said Acts or any of them in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that Tolls shall be levied at the Toll-Gate mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, on and after the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, this first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. William Eitziieeuert, Superintendent. T WILLAM EITZHERBERT, SupcrX 9 intendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of Hew Zealand, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by the tenth section of ‘The Protection of Animals Act, 1873,” do hereby proclaim and declare that it shall be lawful for any person duly licensed under the said Act to bunt, shoot, take, or kill game within the Province of Wellington, between the tenth day of May and the tenth day of July in each and every year, both inclusive. And I do further proclaim and declare, by virtue of the power conferred upon me by the fourteenth section of the said Protection of Animals Act, that game shall not bo hunted, shot, taken, or killed in that portion of the said Province of Wellington described in the Schedule hereto: — Given under rny hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
