We are very glad to hear that the Branch of the New Zealand Bank in Wellington, since its opening, has received a large amount of support, which places its future success beyond a'doubt. We have been informed that the deposits on the first day it commenced busin’ess were' nearly equal to those made in Auckland, where the amount of capital subscribed for was' three times as large, and the number of shareholders three times as numerous, as in Wellington.
