Gold.—A gentleman of this town has received a letter from Wanganui by Saturday’s overland mail, dated Itith January, in' which his correspondent mentions that n Native had brought into Wanganui on the previous daj’ specimens of quartz streaked with fine gold from the Turakina district, which is distant about twelve miles south of Wanganui.
