SHOCKING MISHAP

WOUND ROUND A WATER-WHEEL. The Hon C. 11. Mills received a telegram on Friday afternoon starting that Charles Peter Neilson, manager of the King Solomon gold claim at Cullensville, Marlborough, had been killed that morning. The brief message stated that the unfortunate man had been wound round the shaft of the big water-wheel at live mine. Neilson leaves a wife and large family behind him. The Minister states that Neilson had been associated with gold-getting at Cullensville ever since the colour was discovered there. Fie was a steady, honest man, who held the confidence of the men he worked with. Deceased, who was about fifty years of age, will be missed in the quiet little Sounds township.
