THE FIRE ON THE APARIMA
r , . . n , DUNEDIN, August 26 Captain Courbarron, of the Union Company s steamer Aparima, which put into Albany last week with the cargo on fire has informed the company that he hopes on lea , ve the Mest Australian port on Thursday. The full extent of the damage cannot yet be ascertained. The cargo in - “ old is more or less damaged by rr e ,r““ ' vs - eT : but there is no damage to the cargo m the other holds. No 2 contains the following cargo:—2soo bales guunies, 1700 bags bone meal, 296 tapioca £tnci 200 rice, 1100 bales ratlins, 80 of matting 12 of canes, 12 of carpets, 820 chests tea, 10 cases nutmegs, 5 of cloves. 30 cases pines, 3 of shellac and 1 of cliin aware. The ports of consignment are not at pr&l sent known.
ALBANY, August 28. Tho fire is still burning in the bunkors of the Union Company’s steamer Aparima.
