Notwithstanding the great outcry which was raised some time back as to the necessity which existed for tlie appointment of an official grader of .lax very little use has been made of the services o 7 Mr C. J. Fulton, the recentlyappointed grader at the port of. Wellington. The Agricultural Department is therefore issuing a circular to merchants and millers stating that unless full advantage is taken of the expert’s services, Government grading will, be discontinued. Those who have oeen communicated with hav e been ask e d ro stale opinions in regard to the matter. The vital statistics of Wellington for the month of J uly are as follow : —Births, deaths, 51; marriages, 48.
