NEW YORK, Nov. 13. Thomas Edison, the electrical wizard, is working on a new invention to utilise all the energy stored in coal, over ninety per cent, of which, he says; is lost in combustion. L \i Edison is trying to obtain the full energy by means of compressed air; He has already applied: the process to several steam- drills with a'new type.: of engine with excellent results. : : If the invention develops as Tie. expects, he believes he will succeed in. revolutionising the present system of motive power on land and sea.
