In the earlier part of the evening he played “ Gebet,” by Goltermann, and later on a Hungarian dance, by Brahms. This was undoubtedly one of the best items of the evening. For this ho was recalled, and, in return, played another Hungarian danoe by the same oomposer. The part songs “ Sunrise - ’ (Kietz) and “ The Miller’s Daughter ”|(Haitel) were both very well given, but ** The Young Musicians” (Kuchen) was one of the most effective items of the programme. The “ Vulcan’s Song,” from Gounod’s “ Philemon et Baucis,” was sung by Mr I’bos. Pringle, and the concert closed with a Bbort and amusing partisong, “ Pussy’s in the Well ” (Rutenber), and the canon “ Ho who Trusts in Ladies Fair ” (Eiseuhofe-).
