At the usual meeting of the Johnsonville Town Board on Thursday evening, there were present Messrs Cook (chairman), Atkinson, Chapman and Dawson. It was decided to accept Dr Purdy’s agreement to inspect and report upon the sanitary condition of the Johnsonville town district. Mr Corlet’a term of oontraot for the completion of Bannister was extended for two months from date. Wednesday afternoon was appointed the half-holiday under the Shops and Shop Assistants Act. Mr Martin’s tender for the collection of the dog tax at 6d per dog was accepted. Rates to the amount of £24 were received, also £4 for the lioense of booths at the trotting races, and £2 for the transfer of a license. Accounts amount* jpg to JBIS were passed for payment,
