BOWLING.
The first of the pennant matches, four rinks a side, were played on Saturday at the Wellington Bowling Club's green, between teams representing Wellington against Thorndon and Wellington against Newtown. The Wellington teams won both matches, Thorndon being defeated by 24 points and Newtown by 10 points. The following are the draws in connection with competitions organised by the Wellington Bowling Club : Sargood'sCup, Mr Petherick's silver medal as second prize.—T. Scoullar plays T.
