BOWLING.

The first of the pennant matches, four rinks a side, were played on Saturday at the Wellington Bowling Club's green, between teams representing Wellington against Thorndon and Wellington against Newtown. The Wellington teams won both matches, Thorndon being defeated by 24 points and Newtown by 10 points.
